The outward first five holes are through the pine tree forest. Water and good hole layouts provides the hazards that play a big part in players having to select the right club and hit with care. The eighteenth is a tricky Par-4 mainly involving a lake that is just waiting for the inaccurate shot.

Absence of club house is a major minus. Course has a great layout but some of the grass and particularly greens need work. Staff excellent and we enjoyed our round

The condition lets its down in places and when that improves it would be an easy 5/5 , the greens are in great shape and it’s just the tee boxes/fairways here and there let it down but not by much either. It has the best layout in the Algarve of the courses I have played and gets better and better from the 1st onwards , great finishing holes, I would highly recommend playing it

Great layout, probably the best I've played on the Algarve. Would have been 5 stars if it wasn't a bit dry and untidy in places. Ownership should look at the standard of Quinta do Lago and laranjal for what they should be looking to achieve. Will 100% play the course again but would like to see it restored to it's former glory.

We were so lucky to have ‘Millionaires’ golf today. Despite the lack of a clubhouse, we were treated so well, water bottles and a sandwich in the buggy were a nice touch. Yes, there are more famous courses in the Algarve and almost spoilt for choice, San Lorenzo lives up to it’s reputation of condition, picturesque and tricky in places that demand quality shots, but immensely playable.
