Whilst I enjoyed the golf course, it is a complete tale of 2 differing nines. The front nine is quirky, and a bit like target golf. The second nine is more open and appears to have been designed by someone else. With the lack of warm up facilities, I believe the enjoyment of the course would be greater if the nines were reversed and the challenging holes were 10-18 and not 1-9. The ninth hole is a great challenge and would make a great 18th

Very enjoyable round and playable despite recent rain. Some pin positions questionable especially on 14 but makes it a challenge. Friendly staff.

Added a round at Ombria to our Algarve golf itinerary based on an interaction at the QDL driving range with a fellow from London. It was an interesting change from the Golden Triangle courses as we headed inland to the hills. An interesting layout with some very good holes and some amazing views from some extremely elevated tees! We teed off #10 and played the back nine first, which is the more benign of the two nines. The front nine is more interesting (has the elevated tees) but can be a little ‘tight' as the holes are squeezed into the valley along and beside the meandering water features. Conditions were average and a little inconsistent; but it is December. All in all, we enjoyed the course, but it is a little different.
