A testing round Alto Golf Thu, 13th Apr 2023 |
A testing, yet fair course. It requires you to methodically plot your way around, especially in a Portuguese breeze. You can leave the driver in the bag for the most part as there is a premium on accuracy over length. The greens are sloping and a good test of your touch. The food and drink is more than adequate and reasonably priced. The English lady in reception was rather too officious however and didn’t have the level of hospitality I would expect from a golf club. All in all an enjoyable experience - and a decent scorecard! |

Fairly narrow and challenging course, good value for money when taking advantage of 2 player and 1 buggy deals. The only gripe would be the course management were unorganised when it came to collecting buggies. I would be keen to play here again. |
This was a first time playing Alamos and what a pleasant surprise, not overly long but made up for that with tough greens, so don t be on the wrong side of the hole. The fairways are very generous and only the widest of shots severely punished but its the putting were the fun begins, todays pins had been placed by either the Marquis de Sade or Remy Gaillard, so bring your putting A game. |
